In part 3 of Songbirds the First Ladies of Irish Song, the focus is on Bridie Gallagher, the Girl from Donegal, who was the darling of the dance halls and travelled the world to play for the Irish wherever they were based.
Bridie died in January 2012.

This was one of the most wonderful series I have seen Fil especially because I had the honour of meeting and playing with Ruby Murray, Bridie Gallagher and Margaret Barry. You have done us all a great service by these programmes. We shall never see the like of these special ladies again. Thank you so much. Terry.
