The local handbell ringers were doing their bit to add to the atmosphere at the craft fair
The higher bells are played by young children, so I've kept them out of the picture, but all the teams are new to this and it's great to hear the lovely gentle tinkle. I tried doing a video of them but there was so much noise in the hall it was hard to hear them properly.

I love the sound of handbells & how wonderful to live in a village full of celebrations like that.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago, at a chrimbly lights switch on, we listened to bell ringers and it was lovely hearing the pealing sounds as they played. There is something so intrinsic with this time of year and bells :)
ReplyDeleteThe bells make such a lovely noise and even if they go wrong the sound is so forgiving. We saw a local team in the town library on Saturday.
